Chicken farm in Turkey

We started a project in Turkey in 2012 and tested our bedding in a chicken farm.

The barn climate had an unpleasant smell. The chickens walked around on their own dung. This resulted in foot problems and the use of antibiotics.

We faced two major challenges here.

On the one hand, we wanted to create a better stable climate with better breathing air for humans and animals.

On the other hand, we wanted to eliminate the pathogens in the barn floor, improve the general health of the animals and result in a higher slaughter weight for the farmer.

For this purpose we have developed a special stable bedding, which consists of zeolite and is of a specific grain size for the chickens. This special zeolite is produced and ionized in a special mill. It is then refined with other additives and microorganisms, which offer the chickens a healthier food intake and at the same time eliminate pathogens and germs.

Since the chickens can easily pick up the litter and this zeolite mixture gets into the animal's organism, it improves the animal's health and digestion.

When the chickens excrete the droppings, the litter hygienizes it within a short time, so that foot problems do not occur and the unpleasant-smelling ammonia is not released. The microorganisms bind all NH3 and NH4 molecules in the litter, which is a wonderful raw material for an organic fertilizer because it is already populated with valuable microorganisms and has a high nutrient content.

What were our results after the first test?

It has increased the laying time in the hens.

There was generally lower mortality.

The odor binding in the faeces ensured better breathing air in the barn and was able to bind the nutrient content in the faeces.

The use of antibiotics to treat foot disease was not necessary.
